Boston Red Sox Paver Project

For the 100 year anniversary of Fenway Park, I designed an interactive installation. I cast concrete pavers with handprints and signatures of famous Red Sox players. These pavers were then mounted at Entrances B and C at Fenway Park. Not only did these create an immersive environment celebrating the history of Fenway Park, but they allowed fans to relate to the players by placing their hands in the handprints or creating rubbings of the signatures or handprints.

Each handprint and signature were made in rubber so as to cast perfectly into the concrete. The rubber prints also allow pavers to be recast should a replacement be required.
